NHS Workforce Collaborative - '80% of staff interviewed as part of Boorman said their own health and well being had a direct impact on patient care'.
This programme was designed to deliver transformational change. Using 5 Ways to Well being as the framework and Large Scale Change (LSC) (see Plesek et al An introduction to the theory and practice of LSC and its relevance to the NHS) as the methodology we’re delivering a 9 month programme to 35 NHS Health and wellbeing leads to deliver transformation change in NHS Staff health and well being and ultimately improve patient care and experience. This is collaboration with Good Squared CIC (Ali Wheeler) and MSH Partnership, commissioned by NW Health Education England.
Maximising performance – it starts with you - Executive leadership programme – NHS CEOs participated in this programme run by one of our partners. Here’s what some of them had to say:
"The workshop has provided me with personal insight into how my personal well-being does impact on my performance. It has also given me some very practical skills and techniques to enable me to be healthier and to perform even more effectively. This was particularly useful when I had to manage a very difficult issue at work which I know I was able to handle even more effectively by drawing on the knowledge I had gained through the experience I have also shared my learning with my immediate team and they have found some of the practical advice beneficial. In summary this has been a very cost effective way of ensuring that I am a happier, healthier and even more effective leader."
CEO NHS Mental Health Trust
"My driver to access this course was to identify which was likely to kill me first – being a CEO in today's NHS or simply, lifestyle. For me it was life style which won! So I have prioritised where I can, my work life balance, raised my own awareness of stress and how to counterbalance that and take care of myself a little better than before."
