5 Ways to Feelgood

There are five ways to Feelgood, to enrich and enhance your daily routine, change habits and create a Feelgood lifestyle:-

Connect

Connecting to others is good for us, connecting helps us Feelgood, live longer, healthier and happier lives.

Connecting with people, family, friends, colleagues and neighbours will enrich and support your everyday life, whether that be at home, school, where you live or work.

You need to invest time into connecting, when was the last time you just talked, picked up the phone, wrote a letter, baked a cake, sang a song, which ever way you connect with people and yourself is really important.  Habits take over and the speed of life creates chaos, we have so much more reach now through digital media, yet it also means we often depersonalise our connections.  Close relationships are important, broader social relationships can bring a sense of belonging, taking action to recognise and strengthen both is essential.

Be Active

When our mind and body are connected through being active we Feelgood.  As well as being good for our physical health, being active lifts our mood, reduces anxiety, and is an all round great way to Feelgood.

Whether you go for a walk, choose to take the stairs at every opportunity, go on a bike ride, mow the lawn, recognising and understanding that being active has a significant impact on how you feel, when you Feelgood once, you are more likely to do it again and again, we need to break habits of being inactive, and find Feelgood time to be active so we ensure we live longer, healthier and happier lives.

Give

Have you ever given or been on the receiving end of a random act of kindness, how did you feel?  Doing something nice for people, a stranger, a friend or relative can really help you Feelgood.  It doesn't have to be something big or where you commit yourself to a weekly club as a volunteer, it can be as simple as you want it, the fact is that you do it and recognise it and understand that giving time, energy, emotion helps you Feelgood.

Giving away a bunch of flowers or even a smile can change your day, recycling frees up space, cooking more food than you need and giving it to a friend or neighbour can be very satisfying.  Taking time to give yourself or someone else a new or shared opportunity can link you to a wider community which can be incredibly rewarding and creates a sense of warmth and understanding to help you Feelgood, live longer, healthier and happier lives.

Take Notice

When was the last time you just stopped and looked around you.  When did you take a breath in the hectic daily routine.  Taking notice can be a moment in time, or a lingering purposeful decision.  Either way understanding that appreciating the world around us and understanding that it can really make you Feelgood.

Notice things around you, be curious, reflect, experience and savour the moment you stop and Feelgood.

You need to find your Feelgood time to take notice, pay attention, you may have to break old habits, stop rushing around, even when you think you are relaxing, make a conscious decision to take notice.  Once you start, its hard to stop appreciating and living for today.  Don't dwell in the past or worry about the future, take time to Feelgood, live longer, healthier and happier lives.

Keep Learning

Continually creating opportunities for yourself and finding new ideas helps you Feelgood.  Finding the time to enrich your life by learning something new doesn't have to be a huge commitment.  If you can find your Feelgood time and fill it with new responsibilities, rediscover time for an old interest or to try something new can be fun, challenging and inspiring.

There are so many ways to learn and feel a sense of accomplishment, finding the time, priortising space in your life and sharing the opportunity can really help you Feelgood, live longer, healthier and happier lives.
